How to Migrate from Crazy domains exchange hosting / ultraexchange.com.au to Office 365
- First things first do not change DNS records at all if ultraexchange.com.au is currently setup and running until completed otherwise this will not work.
- Provision and setup Office 365 domain eg. yourdomain.onmicrosoft.com
- Log into http://winlogin.syra.net.au/
- Pick one user account that will become the admin for all mailboxes
- Go to the advance settings of all other mailboxes and set full permissions and send as permissions to the user you picked in step 4
- Apply these permissions to all user accounts you wish to migrate.
- Under Organisation's / Users select the user you picked in step 4 and take note of the User Domain Name:DAG01\username (last attribute on the user account)
- Log into https://www.ultraexchange.com.au/owa/ as the user you picked in step 4. Username is the email address in this step.
- Click on the question mark ? top right hand corner and select about.
- Take note of the mailbox server settings and copy the Mailbox server name: e.g. EX-CAS02.dag01.per.ultraexchange.com.au
- Login to Office 365 with an admin account e.g. admin@yourdomain.onmicrosoft.com
- Go to https://outlook.office365.com/ecp
- Create a new batch migration with these settings. Use the username you noted in step 7.
- Wait for the sync to complete and then change the DNS records as required.
